Meet the Team
Sanjay Sharma, CEO
I founded this company to offer professional and compassionate services to patients in Michigan. Over the years, we have developed many great relationships in the community, helped hundreds of patients recover from serious injuries, held successful social and networking events, provided families and children in Detroit with food and gifts during the holidays. More recently, we created an industry magazine for attorneys and providers to share their stories of patient triumph and how to navigate the complexities of auto and work-related accidents. We have created a company that lives by its mission and core values. This has helped us to grow our team and cultivate a culture that I adore. Along our team’s journey, we have had the honor of being able to work with some of the best managers, nurses, paralegals, lawyers, and medical providers. When we do something, we are passionate about it, and we do it to the best of our ability. That has always been the way working at Ascendant Health has been for me. It’s both an honor and a pleasure to work with my team of stars to help those who have been injured through their journey to recoverment. I have an MBA from Michigan State and a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan. Go Blue/Go Green?!

Harman Gill, President
I am the current President of Ascendant Health. I started as an entry-level, office assistant position with the company in 2016. I graduated from Wayne State in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Since then, I worked my way up to an office manager, then director and now President. I also started a transportation company in the auto accident industry which I later sold and came back to Ascendant. I love to travel in my free time, especially to my favorite city, Miami. In my downtime, I enjoy playing basketball, soccer and hanging out with my two dogs Mylo and Ollie.

Sarah Alogaili, Director of Marketing
I’m Sarah, Director of Marketing at Ascendant. Since earning my degree, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain real-world work experience in a variety of roles, from starting as a paralegal, to brokering business and legal collaborations, and operating a case management company, and most recently acting as the Senior Account Executive for a legal funding business. All of these experiences required a high level of networking and marketing skills. My passion and focus in business lies in fostering genuine connection and creating value for all parties involved.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying precious moments with my family, diving into a good book, expressing my creativity through art/painting, doing Pilates, or playing tennis. I also love organizing networking events and parties, both for work and for celebrating those I’m close with.

Keionn Gray, Billing and Sales Analyst
My name is Keionn, and I am a Billing and Sales Analyst here at Ascendant Health. I am a graduate of Tiffin University where I studied business administration and entrepreneurship. Since joining Ascendant I have grown in many ways due to the knowledge and experience of my peers. I look forward to contributing to the company’s success and fostering report with our clients. Outside of work, I enjoy being creative, staying active, and sharing meaningful experiences with my friends and family.

Victoria Hanna, Marketing Manager
My name is Victoria, and I am the Marketing Manager at Ascendant. I graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2021 with my MBA. When I first started at Ascendant, I was assisting with billing and have worked my way up to my current position over the years. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, traveling, and playing tennis.

Kaylee Mundie, Senior Nurse Case Manager
My name is Kaylee, and I am the Senior Nurse Case Manager with Ascendant Health. I graduated with my BSN in 2019 from SVSU and began working as a bedside nurse at Beaumont Royal Oak on a Surgical Med-Surg unit. I worked throughout COVID as a bedside nurse but decided to make the switch from the hospital to a dermatology clinic after about 2 years. I then transitioned from clinic to case management and have never been happier! I became a nurse to help people and I finally feel like I am able to make a difference and advocate for patients during such a vulnerable time in their life. While I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, friends and my dog, Kurt.

Alexis Shemka, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Lexie, and I am a Nurse Case Manager with Ascendant Health who does direct patient care, intial intakes, and medical assessments. I graduated with my BSN in 2019 from SVSU and have 4.5 years of nursing experience. I began working as a bedside nurse at Beaumont Royal Oak on a Medical-Surgical unit. I worked throughout COVID and after about a year of Med-Surg I transitioned to the Emergency Room. I still currently work at Royal Oak Beaumont ER, but primarily work within the pediatric department. The pediatric population is my passion. I went back to school and got my MSN in pediatric primary care nurse practitioner certification. I became a nurse to help people, educate to the fullest, and make a difference in my patients and their family’s lives. Case Management allows me to achieve my professional and personal goals, especially within the patient populations we serve. While I’m not working, I am very active, outside, enjoying life with my family, friends and my puppy, Maverick.

Kelly Calisti, Senior Nurse Case Manager
My name is Kelly, I’m a nurse case manager and intake coordinator with Ascendant Health. I graduated from St. Clair County Community College as an LPN. I have been a nurse for 20 years. After college, I worked as a floor nurse in skilled nursing facilities but wanted something that was more patient-focused and 1 on 1. In 2005, I started doing private duty nursing in the client’s home. My first patient was an incomplete quadriplegic (C5) from an auto accident. This area of injuries and patient care became my passion for working in the catastrophic sector of nursing. In 2011, I transitioned into management with a private duty nursing agency. For 12 years I did everything from hiring and billing to intakes and case management. I witnessed many catastrophic pediatric cases, and watching them grow and recover from their injuries was a blessing. It truly warms your heart to see their progress and know you were a part of it. I am a mother of 2 and a grandmother of 3. Outside of work, my passion is my family. My hobbies are roller skating, bowling, and taking walks.

Sonya Sprinkle, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Sonya, I am a nurse case manager with Ascendant Health. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, I worked as and EMT and nurse’s aide for many years. I graduated with my ADN in 2019 and went straight to full time bedside nursing on a geriatric medical surgical unit at Ascension Hospital. I worked through Covid and after roughly two years I took on a new position as a dermatology nurse in a clinic setting before taking on the role of nurse case manager. My passion has always been helping people weather that is in the direct line of care or sharing the knowledge, I have to better serve them. As a nurse in any position, I take on I know I am able to serve the people I care for with confidence and companion because it is truly my passion. Outside of work I love spending time with family and friends and am always up for a new adventure!

Saber Alam, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Saber and I am a Nurse Case Manager with Ascendant Health. I graduated with my BSN in 2020 from Wayne State University. Upon graduation, I began my nursing career working as an ER nurse at the Detroit Medical Center. I made the transition from bedside to case management challenging myself to see patient care beyond the inpatient setting. I knew providing compassionate care, advocating for others, and giving comfort to my patients gave me assurance on why I chose this pathway. Since joining Ascendant, I have found myself to have a better work-life balance and truly feel content with the company. Outside of work, I enjoy working out at the gym, going on a nature walk, and spending time with loved ones.

Ashley Locklear, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Ashley Locklear and I am a Nurse Case Manager with Ascendant. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with my first degree. However, nursing was always my passion. I went back to school and did Wayne State’s Accelerated Nursing Program and graduated with my BSN in 2022. I concurrently work as a Labor & Delivery Nurse. Building relationships and being a support system for my patients are some of the main reasons why I wanted to be a nurse. Outside of work, I love to hang out with friends and family, travel, shop & wedding plan!

Michaela Frisch, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Michaela, and I am a Nurse Case Manager at Ascendant Health. I graduated with my BSN in 2019 from Valparaiso University. I have experience in the Emergency Room and Case Management in the hospital setting at Trinity Health Ann Arbor before joining Ascendant Health. After experiencing a case manager role, I realized what a difference a case manager can make in patients’ lives. I became a nurse to help and educate others and feel very fulfilled in what I do. Outside of work, I enjoy sports, spending time with friends, family, and my cat.

Dahlia Kathawa, Nurse Case Manager
My name is Dahlia, I am a Nurse Case Manager with Ascendant Health. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Art in Nutrition and Food Sciences & a minor in Health Psychology in 2021. I went back to WSU to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated in 2023. I started my nursing career working in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Center and now concurrently work at Ascendant Health. I will be furthering my career by starting my Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree at the University of Michigan this fall. I previously worked with a case manager while my family member was hospitalized, and it made me realize how important this work is. I hope to be a strong support system for my patients and am passionate about creating strong professional relationships in the healthcare industry. I hope to make a difference in my patient’s lives. While I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cycling, pickleball, and trying out new food spots in Metro Detroit!
